Chemical molecular formula: C6H13O2
Characteristics: White lustrous hexahedral crystals or white crystalline powder. Slightly bitter. Sublimation at 145-148ºC. Melting point: 293-295ºC(decomposition). It is stable in performance in inorganic acid aqueous solutions in the presence of hydrocarbons. Each gram dissolves in 40ml of water and approximately 100ml of acetic acid. Slightly soluble in ethanol, soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and alkaline hydroxide and carbonate solutions. Insoluble in ether.
