Proline is one of the 20 amino acids that are used to synthesize proteins by the human body. Functions of proline include helping form collagen, regenerating cartilage, forming connective tissue, repairing skin damage and wounds, healing the gut lining, and repairing joints.
L proline is one of the eighteen amino acids that the human body synthesizes protein. It is a colorless to white crystal or crystalline powder at room temperature. It has a slight odor and a slightly sweet taste. It is easily soluble in water and difficult to dissolve in water. Soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether and n-butanols. Amino acid is a general term for a class of organic compounds containing amino and carboxyl groups.
