Food Grade Xanthan Gum (Xanthan Gum) is a polysaccharide produced by bacterial fermentation, usually starting from corn starch, through the fermentation process of Xanthomonas campestris. It is a high molecular weight anionic polysaccharide with good thickening and stabilizing effect, widely used in food industry.

Product Description:
Appearance: white or slightly yellow free-flowing powder.
Solubility: soluble in cold and hot water to form high viscosity solution, almost insoluble in organic solvents.
Viscosity: the viscosity of 1% solution is usually above 1200 mPa-s.
pH: The pH of 1% solution is between 6.0 and 8.0.
Particle size: at least 95% passes through an 80 mesh sieve.
Sensory properties:
Odorless or slight taste, does not affect the original flavor of food.
Application areas:
Food industry: as a thickener, stabilizer and emulsifier for condiments, beverages, dairy products, baked goods, frozen foods, salad dressings, confectionery and more.
Personal care and cosmetics: as stabilizers and thickeners.
Pharmaceutical industry: as suspending agents and stabilizers.
Stability:
The viscosity of xanthan gum solution will not change greatly with the change of temperature, even in the wide temperature range of 10-80 ºC, low concentration of aqueous solution can maintain a stable high viscosity.
Safety:
After extensive toxicology and safety studies, xanthan gum is considered a safe food additive. It was approved by the U.S. FDA in 1969 and has received an E415 approval number in Europe.
Storage and Stability:
Xanthan gum in powder form can be safely stored for several years. Xanthan Gum solutions, while more resistant to microbial attack, should have an appropriate preservative added if stored for more than 24 hours.
Regulatory Status:
Fully compliant with US, EU and World Health Organization regulations for kosher or halal, suitable for vegetarians. Production facilities are certified in accordance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP+ (feed) and Responsible Care Program.
Packaging:
Usually supplied in 20kg or 25kg bags, exact packaging specifications may vary from supplier to supplier.
Technical Data Sheet:
The Food Grade Xanthan Gum 80 mesh Technical Data Sheet provides detailed product description, chemical and physical properties, sensory properties, applications, methods of preparing solutions, regulatory status and storage stability information.
Product Specification.
Product Specification:
GB 1886.41-2015 "National Standard for Food Safety Food Additives Xanthan Gum" is China's quality specification standard on food grade xanthan gum.
Product Description.
Product Description:
